I ususally read books about school improvement and learning. This year I have 4 Core Factors for School Success by Whitaker. I really liked this one.
I read some great Young Adult books this year for my classes. If you haven't read Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins you should. I also liked the Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. For elementary, I liked the whole Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.
